Restaurants
Hood River has the best variety of restaurants and bars in the
immediate area.  There are also other great local restaurants.

A few restaurants of note are:

  • Everybody’s Brewing is a brewery/brewpub in White Salmon.
They serve top notch organic ales and amazing food
with outdoor seating and a great view of Mt Hood.
Family friendly, and they have free live music on weekends.
The food alone is reason enough to make a trip.

Wineries

Washington State has the second most wineries of any state in the
country after California.  Oregon is number three.
A few local wineries are:

  • Wind River Cellars, my favorite local winery located
approximately 2 miles from the house – mention to
Joel that you’re staying at Matt’s house.

  • Maryhill winery has excellent wines, with a nice view
of the Gorge and a few related attractions – the
Maryhill museum and the full size Stonehenge
    replica and war memorial.
